He is asking US$2800. Its supposedly in nearly perfect condition. He says he changed all fluids, replaced parts, etc, etc, right before he came into possession of a better bike - which is why he is selling his older one. He says he is the first owner and that he never laid it down. The only "issues" are some superficial scratches on the fuel tank. KBB gives a retail value at US$2150. Yugo . How to Change the Oil in a 2003 350ZMotor oil provides lubrication and cooling for internal engine components as it is cycled through them. After time and extended use, motor oil becomes less effective as it is exposed to particulates and other contaminants. The most important part of regular maintenance on your 2003 Nissan 350Z is changing the oil. Doing so requires only a few simple tools and 20 to 40 minutes. Difficulty:Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Car ramps 10 mm socket wrench Oil catch pan Oil filter wrench Replacement oil filter (see resources) 10w-30 or 10w-40 motor oil Step by Step : 1 Start your 350Z and go for a five- to 10-minute drive. If this is not possible, let the vehicle idle for 10 to 15 minutes. 2 Pull the vehicle onto car ramps, and place the transmission in "Park". Shut off the vehicle. Lock the parking brake to prevent the chance of sliding or rolling. 3 Climb under the vehicle, and locate the oil drain bolt on the bottom of the oil pan. Slide an oil catch pan under the bolt, and remove it using a 10 mm socket wrench. Allow all the oil to drain out of the oil pan. This might take several minutes. 4 Locate the oil filter between the oil pan and the front of the engine carriage. Remove it using an oil filter wrench. 5 Remove the rubber seal from the new oil filter. Coat it with fresh motor oil using your finger. This will help it seal. Replace the seal on the top of the filter, and slide the filter into place. Twist it down clockwise until it is snug. 6 Replace the oil drain plug. 7 Climb out from underneath the vehicle, and open the hood. Open the cap labeled "Oil", and add five quarts of motor oil. Close the cap. Tips & Warnings Spending a few extra dollars on a high-performance oil filter and high-performance oil might save you money in the end. Stay aware of pinch points when working with automotive parts.
Yugo . How to Replace the Thermostat on a 1998 Buick SkylarkThe 1998 Buick Skylark relies on a thermostat to allow coolant in to the engine. Once the thermostat detects that the engine is getting hot, the thermostat will open and release coolant through the engine. A faulty thermostat will stick and cause the engine to get hot. Replacing a faulty thermostat will ensure the engine stays cool, and prevent damage from overheating. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Drain pan Flat tip screwdriver Socket wrench Socket set Razor scraper RTV silicone Step by Step : 1 Park the Buick on a flat and level surface. Open the hood for access to the thermostat. Place a drain pan under the engine to catch any coolant. 2 Trace the top radiator hose to the engine. The hose will stop at the thermostat housing. Unscrew the hose clamp with a flat tip screwdriver. Pull the hose off the thermostat housing by hand. Point it toward the drain pan to catch any fluid coming out of the hose. 3 Unscrew the two bolts to disassemble the thermostat housing. Pull the cover away from the housing. This will expose the thermostat. 4 Pull the old thermostat out of the housing by hand and replace with the new one. Ensure the thermostat is placed with the spring-end in first. 5 Scrape the gasket off the mating surfaces with a razor scraper. Replace with a bead of RTV silicone around the thermostat housing surface. Place the gasket over the housing. 6 Bolt the thermostat housing together with a socket wrench. Once the housing is tight, the gasket will form a seal. 7 Push the radiator hose back on to the housing inlet pipe. Tighten the hose clamp with a flat tip screwdriver. 8 Unscrew the radiator cap and place it to the side. Fill it with pre-mixed coolant. Start the car and allow it to idle until it is warm. The thermostat will release the coolant in to the engine. Pour coolant in to the radiator until it cannot hold any more fluid. 9 Tighten the radiator cap back on to the radiator. Turn the car off and close the hood. Tips & Warnings The thermostat and gasket can be purchased at any local automotive parts store as a kit. Contact a recycling center for the correct disposal of the waste coolant. If changing the bulb or fuse doesn't work, get someone to check the connection between the warning light and the brake; there may be a short in it. Checking Anti-Lock Brakes Anti-lock brake systems (ABS) vary from one vehicle to another, and most require no special maintenance. (Chapter 10 tells you how ABS brake systems work and how to operate them properly.) Manufacturers install an amber warning lamp in the instrument panel. Under normal circumstances, the amber light will go on briefly during engine startup and turn off in a short amount of time. If it goes on while you're on the road, the ABS system isn't working properly and your vehicle is using only the normal brake system. In this case, get the ABS repaired as soon as you can. BEfj If you want to test the operation of your anti-lock brakes, find an empty parking lot on a rainy day. While traveling on a slippery surface at about 30 mph, firmly press the brake pedal. You should hear some clicking and feel some pulsing of the brake pedal while the vehicle comes to a stop without sliding. If the warning lamp stays on, or you suspect that the ABS isn't working properly, take your vehicle to a professional who specializes in brake systems. Well, that's it. If you get in the habit of checking your brake system every 10,000 miles (and more frequently as they wear), you'll be able to stop worry Yugo . Power door locks don't work on my 2002 CRV?
